Navigating layoffs and downsizing 

If economic conditions are such that layoffs are unavoidable, we urge you to work with Workforce One of Butler County to help your employees make the transition to future employment.

We typically set up a meeting with the human resources manager (or owner for small businesses) to walk through the process. We try to arrange on-site worker orientations before the layoff occurs so that workers know what services they are eligible for once they have received a layoff notice. They also are briefed on how to file for unemployment
