Employer Hiring Incentives

The state of Ohio and the federal government offer a variety of incentives to help employers with their hiring needs.

Current state programs include:

  • On-the-Job Training
Ohio’s OJT program provides an incentive to hire dislocated workers (workers who are currently on unemployment or have exhausted their unemployment benefits) and also underemployed individuals. The On-the-Job Training Grant provides a partial wage subsidy to the employer during the new hires' training period.
